Job summary

CS RADISSON PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Building Drafting Specialist to coordinate project design and materials management, liaising with stakeholders to ensure accurate drafting, budgeting, and timely delivery of construction components.

The role requires collaboration with Quantity Surveyors, Technical Manager, Client, Architect, and vendors to prepare drawings, manage schedules, and verify cutting lists. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• NTC-2 or 3 in Building Drafting or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of designing and drafting experience, preferably in aluminum-related field.
• Preferably 5 years' experience in the Construction Industry.

Job Summary

You will coordinate project design and materials management, liaising with stakeholders to ensure accurate drafting, budgeting, and timely delivery of construction-related components.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Quantity Surveyors to manage tendered materials budget and contribute to design development
• Communicate with Technical Manager, Client, Architect, and relevant authorities to clarify project scope, budget, troubleshoot issues, and manage schedules
• Liaise with Main Contractor and Architect to prepare section drawings and sampler board presentations with vendor details for selection and approval
• Arrange and schedule raw materials processing in the factory and coordinate delivery schedules to the site
• Issue work orders to the Production Department to ensure timely execution of tasks
• Collaborate with Purchaser by submitting Purchase Requisition Forms for raw materials procurement
• Manage inventories and requisition supplies such as paper developer and drawing instruments to maintain operational readiness
• Work with Site Supervisor to obtain accurate site measurements for project requirements
• Conduct site investigations to verify project scope and perform measurements as needed
• Prepare, develop, and design preliminary and detailed scale drawings upon approval by Technical Manager or requestors
• Verify and approve all cutting lists submitted by the Production Department to ensure accuracy and compliance

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• NTC-2 or 3 in Building Drafting (Architectural/Civil & Structural Engineering) or completion of a vocational training program in designing/drafting or equivalent qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of designing and drafting experience, preferably in the aluminum-related field
• Preferably 5 years' experience in the Construction Industry

Skills

• Apply AutoCAD or related design software proficiently to create detailed architectural and engineering drawings
• Utilize MS Office tools effectively to support documentation and communication tasks
• Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate project progress
• Employ design and drafting techniques to prepare and interpret detailed drawings, graphs, charts, and specifications
• Apply knowledge of architectural and engineering design and drafting principles, practices, methods, and equipment to produce accurate technical designs
• Perform engineering and architectural mathematical calculations relevant to technical designing and drafting tasks
• Apply design theory to develop functional and compliant project drawings
