Job summary

Achieve Group is seeking an experienced Deputy Project Manager to support delivery of landmark building and infrastructure projects in Singapore. The role focuses on safety, quality and on-time delivery, coordinating with consultants, architects, and subcontractors.

You will assist the Project Manager in planning, tracking progress, managing resources and costs, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in building construction.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale building projects from construction through completion.
• Strong knowledge of architectural, structural and M&E coordination.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in overall planning, coordination and delivery of building projects.
• Manage day-to-day project activities, ensuring programme, budget, quality and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, subcontractors, suppliers and authorities to resolve site issues.
• Monitor construction progress and coordinate site teams to achieve milestones.
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements, shop drawings and technical submissions.
• Oversee coordination between architectural, structural and M&E works to minimise clashes and delays.
• Manage project resources, manpower, procurement and subcontractor performance.
• Support project cost control, variation orders, progress claims and contract administration.
• Identify potential project risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Attend project, technical and coordination meetings and follow up on outstanding issues.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, quality standards and workplace safety regulations.

Our client is a leading A1 Main Contractor with an established track record in delivering landmark building and infrastructure projects across Singapore. Due to continued project expansion, they are seeking an experienced Deputy Project Manager, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the Project Manager in the overall planning, coordination and delivery of building projects.
• Manage day-to-day project activities, ensuring works are delivered according to programme, budget, quality and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, subcontractors, suppliers and authorities to resolve technical and site issues.
• Monitor construction progress and coordinate site teams to ensure key milestones are achieved.
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements, shop drawings and technical submissions.
• Oversee coordination between architectural, structural and M&E works to minimise clashes and delays.
• Manage project resources, manpower, procurement and subcontractor performance.
• Support project cost control, variation orders, progress claims and contract administration.
• Identify potential project risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Attend project, technical and coordination meetings and follow up on outstanding issues.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, quality standards and workplace safety regulations.
• Support the Project Manager in client and consultant management, project reporting and overall project performance.
• Take charge of the project in the Project Manager's absence when required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in building construction.
• Proven experience in delivering large-scale building projects from construction through completion.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project coordination and contract administration.
• Experience managing consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong understanding of architectural, structural and M&E coordination.
• Good leadership, communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

OTHER INFORMATION:

• Location: Depending on project
• Working hours: 5.5 Days
• Salary: up to S$9,000 and Bonus (Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)
