Job summary

A1 Main Contractor in Singapore seeks an experienced Deputy Project Manager (Architecture) to oversee architectural and fit-out works on-site, ensuring safety, schedule adherence and top quality. The role requires a diploma/degree in Building, Architecture or Civil Engineering and a minimum of 3 years’ supervision experience on building projects.

You will coordinate closely with architects, consultants and subcontractors, assist with manpower planning and project scheduling, and review

• Diploma or Degree in Building, Architecture, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience supervising architectural or fit-out works on building projects.
• Good understanding of architectural drawings, construction specifications and site coordination.
• Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, construction methodologies and architectural finishes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate architectural and fit-out works on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards and construction schedules.
• Monitor subcontractors' work progress, workmanship, and adherence to contract requirements and approved drawings.
• Conduct inspections according to ITPs and ensure quality control throughout construction.
• Review drawings, identify discrepancies, and raise RFIs to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, subcontractors and project teams to ensure smooth site execution.
• Assist with manpower planning, resource allocation, daily site coordination and project scheduling.
• Review construction programmes, work methods and sequencing of architectural trades.
• Identify potential site issues and support timely project completion.

Our client is a leading A1 Main Contractor with an established track record in delivering landmark building and infrastructure projects across Singapore. Due to continued project expansion, they are seeking an experienced Deputy Project Manager (Architecture) to oversee architectural and fit-out works on-site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and coordinate architectural and fit-out works on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and construction schedules.
• Monitor subcontractors' work progress, workmanship, and adherence to contract requirements and approved drawings.
• Conduct inspections in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and ensure quality control throughout construction.
• Review architectural drawings, identify discrepancies, and raise RFIs to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Coordinate closely with architects, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure smooth site execution.
• Assist with manpower planning, resource allocation, daily site coordination, and project scheduling.
• Review construction programmes, work methods, and sequencing of architectural trades.
• Identify potential site issues, recommend practical solutions, and support timely project completion.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Degree in Building, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience supervising architectural or fit-out works on building projects.
• Experience completing at least one building project from construction through completion will be advantageous.
• Good understanding of architectural drawings, construction specifications, and site coordination.
• Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, construction methodologies, and architectural finishes.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively on-site.

• Working hours: 5.5 Days
• Salary: up to S$8,000 and Bonus (Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)
