Job summary

Woh Hup Group is seeking a Deputy M&E Manager (Buildings) to lead M&E Coordinators and Supervisors in planning and installing M&E services per project scope. You will liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure on-site progress and compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree with 10+ years of experience on large-scale projects, including data centers or commercial buildings, and has strong leadership and budgeting skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience with A1 main contractor and large-scale projects.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in managing a team.
• Strong technical and design knowledge of M&E systems and services.
• Experience in data centers, commercial buildings or similar projects.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead M&E Coordinators and Supervisors for planning and installation of M&E services.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and vendors on site progress.
• Identify design, delivery issues and risks; communicate solutions promptly.
• Review M&E tender documents and highlight contractual requirements including value engineering proposals.
• Maintain good relationships with clients, developers, sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Manage interfaces and coordination works for transit projects with NSCs.
• Monitor and control M&E costs within project budgets.
• Adhere to safety practices in the workplace.

Job description

The Deputy M&E Manager (Buildings) is responsible for leading the M&E Coordinators and Supervisors in the planning, coordination and effective installation of M&E services based on project scope and requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure that all provision requirements as specified in tender documents are fully met.
• Liaise with statutory agencies, client, consultants, sub-contractors, vendors and project site operation team to facilitate installation works and progress on site.
• Identify key design and delivery issues / solutions or risks. Resolve any technical or design related issues with the relevant stakeholders in a prompt and effective manner.
• Involved in reviewing M&E tender documents and highlight contractual requirements including the proposal for value engineering.
• Establish and maintain good relationship with clients / developers, sub-contractor and suppliers.
• Manage interfaces and coordination works, design and construction of transit projects with all Nominated Sub-Contractor (NSC)
• Monitor and control M&E costs within the project budget
• Adherence to safety practices in the workplace

Job Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized University
• Possess at least 10 years of relevant work experience with A1 main contractor and has managed large scale projects with project value at least $100million and above
• Possess at least 5 years of experience in managing team
• Strong technical and design knowledge in terms of various M&E systems and services
• Candidates is required to have project experience in data centers, commercial buildings or other buildings projects
• Possess effective analytical, problem-solving, project management, stakeholder management and leadership skills
• Able to work under pressure, fast and dynamic environment
