Job summary

Science and Technology Policy And Plans Office in Singapore seeks a senior policy professional to help shape Science, Technology and Engineering capabilities across the Public Service. The role supports the director and collaborates with ministries and agencies to build STE workforce and governance frameworks.

You will develop strategies, identify critical capabilities, review training needs, and help attract STEM talent through public-sector initiatives.

Qualifications

Background in Science, Engineering or Mathematics, or related fields, with minimum 10 years of experience would be advantageous.
Possess strong influencing and collaboration qualities, analytical abilities, and a broad sense of perspective.

Responsibilities

Set ambitions and develop strategies to strengthen influence and governance levers to lead STE agencies in capability building and workforce development.
Identify, review and support building of critical and emerging STE capabilities needed to support WOG strategic imperatives.
Review competencies and identify training development gaps at WOG level to curate suitable programmes to systemise development and grooming of STE leaders and professionals.
Partner public agencies to enhance STE publicity and outreach efforts to attract quality STEM graduates and develop strategies/frameworks to build a strong STE community in the Public Service.
