Job summary

PeopleSearch is seeking a Deputy Construction Manager for a major MRT project in West Singapore. You will support the Project Manager, oversee day-to-day site operations, review drawings and contracts, and coordinate architectural and M&E works to ensure scope, schedule, cost and quality targets are met.

You will plan construction activities, coordinate subcontractors, and manage manpower and equipment while leading safety and regulatory compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level civil engineering degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
• 8+ years of relevant experience with a main contractor.
• Experience in design-and-build underground MRT station projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations and delivery.
• Review tender and construction drawings, specs, and contract documents to ensure requirements are understood.
• Coordinate architectural and M&E works and supervise subcontractors on site.
• Plan and sequence construction activities in line with master and detailed programmes.
• Manage manpower, plant and materials to meet schedule and budget.
• Chair coordination meetings with Site Managers and subcontractors.
• Uphold safety and health standards and ensure statutory compliance.
