Job summary

Frencken Mechatronics in Singapore is hiring for a deburring and polishing technician. The role focuses on precision component finishing in a controlled environment, with emphasis on surface quality and accuracy.

You will document processes and collaborate with engineering, QA and production teams. Ideal candidates have 2-3 years in deburring/polishing in precision manufacturing, good manual dexterity, and the ability to read engineering drawings.

Who are we? Frencken Mechatronics is involved in the development and assembly of industrial systems or the semiconductor industry, the healthcare market, and a wide range of analytical applications. The high-quality precision mechanical parts, machine assemblies, and vacuum systems are assembled in both clean room and non-clean room environments. As a service provider, Frencken Mechatronics also produces high-quality precision components and modules for leading clients in the high-tech industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Deburring: Perform deburring of precision components using various tools and techniques. Ensure all burrs are removed and surfaces are smooth.
• Polishing: Polish components to achieve the required finish and surface quality with / without magnification. Use polishing tools as specified.
• Quality Control: Inspect deburred and polished components for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Document inspection results and report any non-conformities.
• Process Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of deburring and polishing processes, including work instructions and inspection records.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that deburring and polishing equipment, are properly maintained and calibrated. Report any equipment issues to the maintenance team.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure smooth deburring and polishing processes and high-quality output.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary, ITE, Technical Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in deburring and polishing, preferably in the precision manufacturing industry.
• Skills: Proficiency in deburring and polishing techniques. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other precision assembly techniques and testing methods.

Additional Information

• Work Environment: Temperature and humidity-regulated environment. Ear protection required at all times.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform repetitive tasks and handle small and large components with precision.
