Job summary

Frencken Mechatronics in Singapore is seeking an engineer to support DFM and costing activities for NPI and ECO changes. You will review drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing routes, perform cost analyses, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver cost-effective manufacturing solutions.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma in Engineering with 2–3 years of experience in semiconductor or manufacturing environments, proficient in Excel and CAD/CAM, and able to interpret technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Engineering or related field.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing industries.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and surface treatments.
• Able to interpret technical drawings.
• Exposure to SolidWorks/CAD/CAM software.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and costing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform DFM reviews to assess manufacturability, process feasibility, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare and review product costing and cost roll-ups for NPI and ECO changes.
• Evaluate the cost impact of design, material, and manufacturing process changes.
• Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing routes for accuracy, manufacturability, and cost.
• Work closely with engineers to resolve technical issues and drive cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
• Support NPI activities and continuously develop technical knowledge in DFM, costing, and manufacturing processes.

We are seeking a motivated individual with strong interest in Technical and manufacturing aspects to grow and support in engineering activities, with a focus on Design for Manufacturability (DFM), costing.

The successful candidate will assist engineers with day-to-day technical matters, review and document technical information, and progressively develop their technical expertise to take on more challenging and complex products and projects.

Key Responsibilities
