Database Administrator (MSSQL & MongoDB) – Day 2 Operations

Location: Singapore

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and support Microsoft SQL Server and MongoDB databases in a 24/7 production environment. The role focuses on database availability, performance, incident resolution, backup & recovery, and disaster recovery support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for MSSQL and MongoDB production environments.
• Monitor and maintain SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and MongoDB Replica Sets.
• Troubleshoot database issues, performance bottlenecks, replication, and failover problems.
• Perform backup, restore, patching, database tuning, and DR testing.
• Support production deployments, data migration, and release activities.
• Implement database security, access control, auditing, and compliance requirements.
• Perform capacity planning, health checks, and root cause analysis (RCA).

Required Skills

• 5–8+ years of Database Administration experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with:
• Microsoft SQL Server (Always On, High Availability, Performance Tuning)
• MongoDB (Replica Sets, Backup & Restore)
• Experience supporting 24/7 production systems and handling critical production incidents.
• Experience with application deployment, data patching, and data migration.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Singapore Government projects.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Exposure to containers, microservices, Kafka, REST APIs, or ETL environments.
