Argyll Scott Singapore is seeking a Data Scientist to support a leading financial institution on a 12-month contract in Singapore. You will analyse transaction and portfolio data to generate insights, drive portfolio profitability, and inform strategic decisions for senior stakeholders.

The role requires strong Python and SQL skills, experience in ML and customer segmentation, and a track record of delivering executive-level reports and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Statistics, CS, Math, Economics, Engineering).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in advanced analytics or data science with large datasets.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL with strong statistical analysis skills.
• Experience with statistical modelling, machine learning, predictive modelling, and customer segmentation.

Responsabilités

• Analyse large-scale transaction and portfolio datasets to identify opportunities for revenue growth, customer engagement, portfolio optimisation, and profitability improvement.
• Conduct detailed analysis across the customer lifecycle, including acquisition, activation, spending behaviour, retention, attrition prevention, and customer value management.
• Evaluate portfolio trends, customer behaviour, merchant spending patterns, and market opportunities at market and group levels.
• Translate analytical findings into practical business recommendations supporting product strategy, customer acquisition, marketing investments, loyalty initiatives, and portfolio management.
• Develop dashboards, strategic reports, business reviews, and executive presentations covering portfolio performance, trends, opportunities, and risk indicators.
• Establish KPIs and performance measurement frameworks to support planning, monitoring, and reviews.
• Automate recurring reporting while building reusable analytical resources and templates.
• Engage senior stakeholders to align priorities and present findings to support decision-making.
