Job summary

OCBC is seeking a Data Scientist for the AI Lab in Singapore. You will work on AI-driven solutions across banking domains, leveraging ML, NLP and generative models to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, build scalable models, and communicate insights to stakeholders. A strong foundation in data science and continuous learning is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field such as CS, data science or statistics.
• 2–5 years of hands-on data science experience.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries; SQL experience.
• Experience with deep learning, NLP or reinforcement learning; big data tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI-driven solutions for genAI copilots, recommendations, RAG and more.
• Build and scale predictive and generative models using modern ML.
• Explore Agentic AI concepts to automate decision-making and enhance customer engagement.
• Work with large-scale structured and unstructured data across domains.
• Create data stories through advanced visualization and storytelling; collaborate with teams.

Who You Are

• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
• 2–5 years of hands‑on experience in data science
• Proficient in Python and modern ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn); familiarity with SQL
• Experience with deep learning, NLP, or reinforcement learning, and exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop or Apache Spark
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A curious mindset with a passion for continuous learning and experimentation
