What you will do
- Provide leadership expertise to analyse, recommend, develop and implement data‑driven solutions to uplift overall Consumer Financial Services, Risk & Prevention risk surveillance capabilities covering Sales, AML and Operational risk.
- Transform the way compliance operates by implementing data‑led techniques and GenAI to uplift the effectiveness and efficiency of the team.
- Champion continuous improvement by evaluating and staying up to date on the latest analytical/AI tools and techniques.
- Promote high and consistent quality of work through standardisation and documentation of key processes and best practice.
- Be the Group Data Office expert on regulatory and compliance‑related data matters.
Who you are
General Knowledge & Experience
- Stay updated on industry risk surveillance trends and capabilities for application consideration within CFS.
- Previous data analytics experience in Risk Surveillance and/or Audit capacity covering at least two or more (AML/Sales/Operations/Fraud) categories preferred.
- Strong understanding of how data analytics can be used to improve risk surveillance and control monitoring.
- Experience working with large datasets from banking systems, transaction platforms, case management tools or operational workflow systems.
- Familiarity with model risk management, audit requirements or regulatory expectations for analytics and AI solutions is advantageous.
Programming & Data
- Strong hands‑on experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation and analysis of large datasets. Experience with querying Hadoop databases is preferred.
- Proficiency in Python for data analytics, automation and web application development.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform such as Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps and Copilot Studio is preferred.
- Able to design clear, intuitive and business‑friendly reports and dashboards.
- Document and share analytical logic, assumptions, data sources and best practices.
- Good understanding of data quality, data lineage, access controls and secure handling of sensitive customer information.
- Experience with Bitbucket/GitHub for version control and collaborative development is advantageous.
Machine Learning And AI
- Experience with using GenAI or AI agents to augment workflows and processes.
- Understand machine learning concepts, including model development, validation, monitoring and interpretation.
- Knowledge of limitations and risks associated with AI use in banking, including hallucination, bias, privacy, explainability and regulatory compliance is advantageous.
Communication & Soft Skills
- Strong analytical thinking and exceptional problem‑solving skills.
- Detail‑oriented, curious and comfortable working with ambiguity.
- Ability to translate business and risk questions, including users’ pain points, into data‑driven analytical approaches and identification and development of optimal solutions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders and business concepts to technical stakeholders.

- Good written and oral communication skills and ability to interact effectively with people at different levels.
