Job summary

OCBC Group in Singapore is seeking a Data Scientist for its AI Lab to apply ML and AI to banking challenges, delivering real-world impact for customers and operations.

You will collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders, design and deploy predictive and generative models, work with large-scale data, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in data science.
• Proficient in Python and modern ML libraries; familiarity with SQL.
• Experience with deep learning, NLP, or reinforcement learning; exposure to Hadoop/Spark.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A curious mindset with a passion for continuous learning and experimentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI-driven solutions for genAI copilots, recommendations, and RAG.
• Build and scale predictive and generative models using modern ML.
• Explore and apply Agentic AI concepts to automate decisions and enhance engagement.
• Work with large-scale structured and unstructured data across domains.
• Develop data stories through advanced visualisation and storytelling techniques.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to co-create innovative solutions using cloud, ML Ops, and real-time data platforms.
