Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a Data DevOps Lead based in Singapore to guide the data engineering and analytics infrastructure. You will design scalable data platforms, build self‑service tooling for the engineering teams, and ensure robust, maintainable software systems.

You will lead a team of engineers, mentor talent, and stay current with emerging technologies to empower a global financial platform. This role focuses on delivering reliable data infrastructure at scale from Singapore.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one programming language.
• Previous experience in leading and mentoring a team of engineers.
• Bachelor degree or above in computer science or engineering related majors.
• Bonus if you have Data streaming engineering experience (Kafka, Flink, Spark).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and direction to a team of engineers based in Singapore.
• Design and implement a robust and scalable data infrastructure for the engineering team.
• Develop scalable software applications or systems with strong self‑service capabilities and robust architecture.
• Perform comprehensive testing and quality assurance to ensure high standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot deployed software, applying updates and enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely delivery and alignment.
• Continuously learn emerging technologies and development methodologies to improve quality and speed.
