As a Data Governance Specialist/Manager with expertise on the Informatica platform, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance strategies and frameworks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and enforce data governance policies and standards. Additionally, you will design and establish data quality rules, data lineage, and data classification processes using tools like Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) and Informatica Axon.Your role will involve defining and managing data governance processes, workflows, and approval mechanisms to ensure proper data management across the organization. You will conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and anomalies using Informatica Data Explorer. Establishing data ownership, roles, and responsibilities within the data governance framework will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities.Collaboration with business stakeholders to define critical data elements, data dictionaries, and metadata management processes using Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) will be essential. Monitoring and enforcing data governance policies to ensure compliance with data protection regulations such as GDPR and CCPA will also be part of your role. Providing guidance and support to business users and data stewards, conducting training sessions, and staying updated with the latest trends in data governance and Informatica technologies are crucial responsibilities.Requirements for this position include a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, with a preference for a master's degree. You should have at least 7 years of experience in data governance or data management, focusing on the Informatica platform. Strong knowledge of data governance principles, methodologies, and best practices is essential, along with proficiency in SQL and database querying languages.
