Job summary

Nxera is seeking a Data Centre Mechanical Subject Matter Expert to drive the design, development and upgrade of critical MEP systems in our data centers. You will lead calculations, equipment sizing and procurement activities while ensuring safety and performance standards are met.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
At least 5 years designing and maintaining data-center mechanical systems.
Knowledge of large-scale electrical infrastructure systems.
Experience with fast-track design/build projects.
Understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.

Responsibilities

Design and develop MEP systems for new and existing data centers.
Perform cooling load, hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing.
Develop basis of design to IFC documents for data center projects.
Collaborate with consultants and contractors during procurement and on-site installation.
Update design specifications and internal standards.
Translate technical requirements into executable implementation plans.
Evaluate DC MEP design, operation, reliability and sustainability.
Participate in commissioning scripts and testing of systems.
Mentor FM team to become Subject Matter Expert.
Maintain positive relations with partners and internal customers.
