Job summary

Nxera is seeking a Data Centre Mechanical SME to design and oversee mechanical systems for data centers, including ACMV, hydraulic and fire protection, with focus on safety and performance.

The role requires extensive experience in data center environments, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ability to travel to Malaysia and other Asia Pacific regions for upgrades and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• PE licensure preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years designing and maintaining mechanical systems for data centers or similar critical facilities.
• Experience with large-scale mission-critical facility’s Mechanical infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for data centers (ACMV, hydraulic, fire protection, plumbing).
• Perform cooling load, hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing.
• Collaborate with core team from basis of design to IFC documents for new builds and upgrades.
• Lead mechanical engineers and consultants; review design and submittals and ensure safety and performance requirements.
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders to translate requirements into executable plans for implementation.
• Liaise on Building Management System/DCIM and control integrations for data centre infrastructure.
• Conduct site inspections, witness commissioning tests, and provide engineering evaluations as needed.
