Job summary

STTGDC in Singapore seeks a Lead, Data Centre Engineering Support (DCES) to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring cost efficiency, performance, and alignment of energy and water optimisation initiatives with business objectives.

You will act as SME for MEP systems, champion ITIL-based incident management, drive energy audits and retrofit initiatives, and manage technical services procurement and certifications. Strong leadership and independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in managing critical facilities development or operations, as well as project management in 24x7 data centre environment.
• Strong knowledge in MEP operations and building facilities systems (e.g. switchgears, UPS, generators, CRAUs, chiller plants).
• Experience in leading certification programs (ANSI/TIA-942, Uptime, BCA-IMDA Green Mark, SS 564, LEED, ISO).
• Relevant certifications in energy and environmental management (e.g. SCEM, SGBC Green Mark, LEED GA/AP) are advantageous.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CDFOS, CDCS, ITIL) preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and perform under tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for Mechanical, Electrical, BMS, and security systems for Singapore Data Centre operations.
• Champion the Problem Management process and act as rotating duty Incident Manager per ITIL.
• Drive energy audits, optimisation programmes, engineering and retrofitting initiatives.
• Oversee procurement of technical services and manage service agreements and renewals.
• Act as program manager for technical certification programmes from planning to certification.
• Collaborate with Technology & Project Delivery to enhance maintainability and build quality.
• Develop and validate technical policies, processes, procedures, and work instructions.
• Establish frameworks to ensure compliance with Acts, regulations, standards and codes of practice.
• Drive technical learning and development initiatives across Singapore Data Centres.
• Support customer technical audits and provide required management information.
