Job summary

GOOGLE ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LTD. is seeking an Operations Technician to install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware and server software behind Google's infrastructure.

You will work on data center components, rack installations and network equipment, with opportunities to lead small projects and develop contingency plans. The role requires hands-on hardware experience, knowledge of Linux tools, and networking protocols, plus flexibility for non-standard shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience with assembly of computer systems component-level repairs.
• Experience diagnosing hardware or networking issues.
• Experience with networking protocols.
• Ability to lift 23 kg (50 lb) and sustain physical activity.
• Ability to work non-standard hours including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate data center infrastructure across projects or teams (e.g. ML platforms, network architecture).
• Troubleshoot and diagnose moderately complex issues with equipment or infrastructure and identify resources needed for resolution.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment, servers, machines, and infrastructure with multiple solutions.
• Execute advanced operational procedures and follow security policies.
• Work shifts to meet evolving business needs and schedules.
• Collaborate with partner teams to complete tasks and resolve problems.
