Job summary

Google's Hardware Operations team seeks a Data Center Technician for Global Server Operations in Singapore. You will install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and server software, including complex components like networks and switches.

You will join a team that leads small projects and ensures infrastructure is reliable and scalable for Google's platforms, while meeting physical demands of rack installation and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience with assembly of mechanical or electrical systems and component-level repairs.
• Experience diagnosing OS, server hardware, or networking protocols.
• Ability to lift 23 kg (50 lb) and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate data center infrastructure across projects or functions.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment/infrastructure issues following data center procedures.
• Maintain data security and integrity per Google standards; handle media tracking as needed.
• Disassemble equipment at end-of-life in a team setting.
• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on equipment, servers, or infrastructure.
