Job summary

Equinix in Singapore is seeking a Data Center Customer Operations Engineer IV to maintain critical facilities and perform advanced testing. You will rack and stack equipment, manage intra-cage cabling, and conduct cross connects and data center link tests.

You will document activities, support projects under senior staff, and ensure on-time order execution while delivering high-quality service to customers.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience
• High School Diploma
• BERT and SONET test equipment

Responsibilities

• Racks and stacks customer equipment
• Installs intra-cage fiber tray, ladder rack, customer equipment and cabinets
• Infrastructure installs including whalebone cable management, public fiber tray systems, carrier ladder rack, AC/DC power trays, security trays
• Determines work priorities from the Oracle queue and ensures adherence to commit times
• Testing/Troubleshooting: conducts carrier circuit testing, cross connects per SOPs, and cable management of coax, fiber, copper
• Installs and tests advanced cross connects (switched, multiplexed, etc.) and Data Center Link cross connects (T1, DS3, OC3-48, Eth, GigE, 10Gig)
• Documentation/Reporting: maintains detailed written records of all work activity
• Projects: supports fulfillment of projects with direction from senior staff
• Training: completes all assigned training in a timely manner
• Customer Management: supports customer satisfaction through timely and precise order execution
