Job summary

ByteDance is seeking an Energy Data Center Business Development & Commercial Manager to lead APAC site selection strategy, energy contracting, and power application processes. You will build relationships with regulators, utilities, consultants and developers while driving end-to-end energy deals in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or any Engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in relevant field, with track record in handling grid application and energy contracting for Hyper-scale Data Centers
• Strong understanding of the energy sector, including the power and renewables markets.
• Proficient in financial modeling and analytical work.
• Capable of handling multiple tasks and working effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

About the Team The Datacenter Development team is responsible for site selection, acquisition and delivery. We conduct deep analysis and form strategic partnership in the area of grid and energy (both conventional and renewable) as well as land.

As the Energy Data Center Business Development & Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the following but not limited to;

• Conduct due diligence and maintain an inventory of energy situation in the APAC region, covering grid, generation and decarbonization.


• Co-formulate Data Center site selection strategy.


• Work closely with regional public policy lead to engage and build relationships with energy regulators.

Qualifications
