Job summary

GovTech in Singapore seeks a senior strategist to drive the Data and AI agenda, working with the DSAD to translate strategy into actionable initiatives across infrastructure, governance, and capability pillars. You will monitor execution, manage risks, and partner with the Digital team to ensure timely delivery of strategic programs.

The role requires 5–7 years in strategy/digital transformation, strong stakeholder management, and a public-service mindset.

Qualifications

• At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in strategy planning, corporate planning, programme management, digital transformation or related roles.
• Experience supporting strategy development and coordinating cross-functional initiatives through execution.
• Self-driven, structured and comfortable operating at the intersection of strategy and implementation.
• Commitment to professionalism, integrity and public service values.
• Contract in the first instance with potential for extension or permanent tenure.

Responsibilities

• Support the Assistant Director in development and refresh of the Data and AI strategy.
• Translate strategy into coordinated implementation plans across infrastructure, governance, and capability pillars.
• Track execution, progress and performance of Data and AI initiatives, highlighting risks and issues.
• Collaborate with Capability Development to build awareness and capability-building programmes.
• Assist manpower and resource planning aligned with priorities and workplans.
• Coordinate with Digital team to align initiatives with broader plans and timelines.
• Prepare concise management updates, papers and presentations on progress.
