Job summary

dsm-firmenich invites you to join the Sweet Goods Applications Team in Tuas, Singapore as a Dairy Applications Intern. You will gain hands-on experience in flavour application, product development and prototype preparation for dairy-based products.

You will assist technologists with prototypes, ingredient prep, lab work and pilot-scale equipment such as UHT systems and yoghurt equipment, while documenting results and supporting sensory sessions.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Interested in food, flavours, and product development.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on laboratory and product development environment.
• Good attention to detail, organized, and willing to learn.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sweet Goods Technologists in preparing and evaluating dairy application prototypes, including flavoured milk, yoghurt, frozen confectionery, milk powder‑based applications, and plant‑based/soy beverages
• Support ingredient preparation, sample management, and laboratory activities
• Gain hands‑on exposure to pilot‑scale equipment such as UHT processing systems, homogenisers, yoghurt, and frozen confectionery equipment
• Support product development projects by conducting basic experiments, documenting results, and maintaining accurate records
• Participate in sensory evaluation and tasting sessions with cross‑functional teams.
• Contribute ideas for flavor concepts based on project briefs and market trends
• Gain exposure to other Sweet Goods categories, including Bakery and Confectionery
