Job summary

The National University of Singapore (NUS) invites an experienced Venture Manager to join NUS Enterprise’s Ecosystem Development team. The role focuses on identifying promising cybersecurity ventures, helping them gain customers, pilots, and funding, and expanding into international markets.

You will build a pipeline, secure partnerships, and drive growth across stages, collaborating with CISOs, investors, and government partners to strengthen Singapore’s cybersecurity ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of venture or business development experience.
• Experience with startups, tech companies or ecosystems.
• Strong network within Singapore and international tech/startup scenes.
• Proven ability to win partnerships, pilots, and market access opportunities.
• Experience in coordinating with investors, corporations and public sector bodies.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to balance venture needs with programme objectives.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership and execution focus.
• Strong project-management and organisational capabilities.
• Experience in cybersecurity or digital/deep-tech is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify and build a pipeline of Singapore cybersecurity startups and SMEs.
• Assess business, technology and growth potential of ventures.
• Help ventures secure customers, pilots, PoCs and partnerships.
• Drive internationalisation and identify overseas market opportunities.
• Curate overseas market access via missions, conferences and investor engagements.
• Support ventures across development stages, providing continuity beyond programmes.
• Build relationships with CISOs, enterprises, agencies and end-users.
• Collaborate with investors and the NUS Enterprise ecosystem to access capital.
• Contribute to venture-development initiatives, including CyberBoost.
• Track venture progress, outcomes and funding milestones.
