Nexstrom is a Singapore-based deep-tech company building the materials foundation for next-gen semiconductors. We grow single-crystal 2D semiconductor wafers on production-ready tools, turning lab results into manufacturable technology.

We’re seeking a hands-on professional with 3–5 years CVD or thin-film experience to own processes, operate the CVD system, monitor parameters, and document results. You’ll collaborate across teams and help evolve our SOPs while ensuring customer specs are met.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on CVD or comparable thin-film/vacuum process experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• A Master's degree with hands-on experimental work in thin-film deposition or growth.
• Track record of taking equipment or process issues from symptom to root cause to resolution.
• Careful, organised with habit of tracking process data and trends over time.
• Proactive in flagging deviations and distinguishing drift from background noise.
• Willing to help build the SOP/playbook rather than only follow it.

Responsibilities

• Own root-cause investigations for output drift and refine recipes.
• Operate and maintain the CVD system for 2D wafer growth and perform maintenance.
• Monitor real-time process parameters and catch deviations before impacting output.
• Maintain detailed logs of runs, trends and equipment behaviour.
• Support wafer qualification timelines to meet customer commitments.
