Job summary

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) invites applications for an Associate Engineer to join the Thin Film CVD Process team. You will supervise and coordinate production activities to meet daily and monthly manufacturing goals.

The role is suitable for candidates with a Diploma in Microelectronics or related fields; training is provided. You will work in a 12-hour rotating shift and support process integrity of CVD tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Microelectronics or related engineering fields.
• Training provided for candidates without experience.
• Basic engineering knowledge in semiconductor devices and wafer fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Assist CVD process engineers in production-line activities to achieve goals.
• Perform shift duties (12 hours) to support CVD operations and tool integrity.
• Monitor and tune processes to ensure product quality meets requirements.
• Provide on-the-job training support to new associates as buddy.
• Collect data on tool faults and disposed products per procedure within target times.
• Review defect data and ensure recovery to baseline before production release.
• Communicate pass-downs and track outstanding tasks diligently.
• Set up metrology recipes and maintain housekeeping in the thin-film area.
• Maintain safety practices and proper handling of tools and equipment.
• Participate in Transform Platform initiatives.

We’re searching for an Associate Engineer to be part of our Thin Film CVD Process diverse team of talent. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating production activities to meet daily and monthly manufacturing goals.

Responsibilities:

• To assist CVD process engineers in production line related activities to achieve operation goals
• Perform shift duties (12 hours) to support production line related to CVD to ensure process integrity of tools for production
• Monitor and sustain SPC (fine tuning of processes) to ensure quality of products meet requirements
• Assist new Associate Engineers on their On-The-Job-Training (OJT) by acting as their buddy
• Obtains data of products affected by tool faults & dispose products according to procedure within expected time
• Obtains data of products exceed defects warning limits and dispose products according to procedure; Ensure suspected tool recover to baseline defects performance before release for production run.
• Obtains, review and analysis defect and WAT data for products as per procedure
• Provide proper and accurate pass down of line issues, outstanding tasks and document properly. Able to take over pass down and follow up on outstanding tasks diligently
• Set-up metrology recipes in respective metrology tools of thin film area and able to perform regular house-keeping
• Ensure and follow good housekeeping and job safety practices when work in office and in fab area
• Communicate with relevant parties during shift works and Escalate in time at situation defined as per sop defined
• Maintain good housekeeping in the production area, ensuring good safety practice and also safe custody of tools, equipment and other properties belonging to the Module
• Participate in Transform Platform

Requirements:

• Diploma in Microelectronics, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Chemical engineering, Chemistry & Physics
• Candidates without experience are welcome to apply, training will be provided
• Basic engineering knowledge, which may include semiconductor devices theory, electronics, electrical/ pneumatic/ hydraulic control system, digital principle, wafer fabrication processes, pump and vacuum system and electrical wiring system
• Good Team Player
• Good Problem-Solving skills
• Able to perform 12-hour rotating shift (day/night) and work under pressure
• Able to work in clean room environment
