Job summary

A leading transit company in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Train Operator. The role involves driving passenger trains and assisting passengers, while ensuring safety and compliance on all operations. Candidates should have at least 5 GCE 'O' Levels, good interpersonal skills, and willingness to work shifts including weekends. Experience in customer service is preferred. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Able to reach the height of 197cm with both hands.
• Willing to perform shift work, including weekends and Public Holidays.
• Preferably with minimum 2 years' working experience in the service or retail industry.
• Required to manually operate station and trainborne equipment.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Train Operations - Drive passenger trains and perform emergency train operator duties. Monitor train performance and resolve defects per guidelines.
• Passenger Assistance - Respond to inquiries about routes, fares, and transport connections. Help passengers with special needs board and alight safely.
• Safety and Compliance - Monitor stations and equipment for irregularities and address issues. Ensure passengers follow transit regulations. Handle emergencies (e.g., fire, train defects, passenger incidents) safely and efficiently.
• Communication - Coordinate with the control center and passengers using communication equipment.
• Qualifications and Procedures - Maintain necessary certifications and adhere to operational procedures and manuals.

Perform other duties as directed by his/ her superiors.

Requirements
