Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Customer Engineer specialized in SAP to help customers understand and deploy SAP workloads on Google Cloud Platform. You will work with sales to communicate technical features, solve blockers, and enable partners through SAP-focused enablement and thought leadership.

You will lead discussions on SAP solutions, map success patterns, and publish assets to scale knowledge across the team, driving SAP opportunities on Google Cloud.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or customer-facing role.
• Experience with SAP technologies, architecture, and infrastructure needs.
• Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design SAP HANA on cloud solutions (RISE, PCE) with infrastructure, networking, security and storage best practices.
• Identify and qualify business opportunities, address customer technical objections, and develop strategies to resolve blockers.
• Own the technical relationship with Google’s customers, managing product/solution briefings, PoC work, and coordinating resources.
• Recommend, demonstrate, and prototype SAP on Google Cloud Platform solutions in customer environments.
• Assist the SAP GTM team with regional delivery of field-enablement for SAP on Google Cloud Platform solutions.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or other technical field.
• Experience in aspects of cloud computing across enterprise technology and open source, including compute, storage, data analytics, and machine learning.
• Experience in, and understanding of, data and information management as it relates to big data trends and issues within businesses.
• Understanding of SAP cloud offerings such as RISE/PCE, SAP BTP and SAP SaaS products.
• Ability to learn quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.

You'll meet with customers to facilitate business transformation, map success patterns, and publish assets to scale your knowledge and support further customer successes. In this role, you'll identify and parse industry trends that focus on SAP to recommend, plan for, and address core market opportunities with new solutions and use cases for positioning to customers. Finally, you will enable the sales team and counsel partners on the best way to position SAP on Google Cloud solutions, explain technical features, and problem-solve potential roadblocks on Google Cloud.
