Job summary

Maybank Singapore is seeking a skilled credit analyst to analyse and assess credit proposals for corporate banking customers, translating financial statements into the bank's internal credit assessment and risk rating frameworks.

You will perform borrower and facility risk ratings, prepare loan applications for new financing and renewals, conduct comprehensive credit reviews, identify risks, and collaborate with Relationship Managers, Risk, Compliance and other stakeholders to facilitate timely

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking or related discipline.
• Strong financial statement analysis and corporate credit fundamentals.
• Experience in corporate banking or credit analysis is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and originate loan applications for new financing requests and renewal of existing facilities
• Conduct comprehensive credit reviews and provide recommendations for management approval
• Identify key credit risks and recommend appropriate risk mitigants and deal structures
• Perform portfolio reviews and monitor the credit quality of existing relationships
• Partner closely with Relationship Managers, Risk Management, Compliance and other stakeholders to facilitate timely credit approvals
• Support process improvements, system enhancements and management reporting initiatives.

Requirements:-

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and corporate credit fundamentals
• Strong analytical, report writing and credit assessment skills
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Prior experience in corporate banking, credit analysis, commercial lending or risk management would be advantageous.
