Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cook.
• Experience using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.).
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Very good communication skills.
• Excellent physical condition and stamina.

Responsibilities

• Cook food items accurately to specifications.
• Assist in tasks within the time frame given.
• Maintain mise-en-place and replenish before each meal period.
• Monitor food par levels after each meal period.
• Keep areas clean, tidy and organized.
• Assist in monthly inventory counts and record food wastages.
• Follow proper hygiene and storage practices at all times.
• Assist in daily purchasing and receiving of goods.
• Ensure ingredients are fresh.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Prepare innovative recipes and delightful dishes as requested by servers.
• Prepare meals per orders from servers and kitchen staff.
• Develop new menu items while refining existing ones.
• Follow recipe and menu specifications.
• Keep cooking premises clean and orderly.
• Support other cooks in meal preparation.
• Adhere to quality standards in recipes and meals.
• Develop cost-saving ideas without compromising taste.
