Job summary

SHIN KATSU PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a reliable Cook to prepare high-quality dishes while maintaining hygiene, food safety and kitchen cleanliness.

You will work in a fast-paced environment and support the team to deliver excellent food and service. Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining portion control, assisting with prep, cleaning and sanitising, monitoring stock, minimizing waste, and collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Must have experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen role.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Physical fitness to stand for extended periods during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food following recipes and company standards to ensure consistent quality and taste.
• Maintain food presentation and portion control to meet company guidelines.
• Assist in preparing ingredients and setting up the kitchen before service.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, and utensils to uphold hygiene standards.
• Store ingredients correctly and comply with food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and promptly report shortages to the Chef.
• Minimize food waste by handling ingredients efficiently during preparation and cooking.
• Collaborate with kitchen team members to coordinate daily kitchen activities and ensure timely food delivery.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and kitchen SOPs.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor to support kitchen operations.
