Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking a Cost Manager for Project & Development Services in Singapore. You will oversee tendering, design phasing, and construction to completion, coordinating with multiple vendors to avoid downtime and meet budgets.

Location: On-site – Singapore. You should have a degree or diploma and 1–2 years’ QS experience in interior design, D&B, or contractor firms, with strong MS Office, communication, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Tender pricing and cost estimations, sourcing of quotations, cost evaluation and prepare cost comparison.
• Prepare high level cost estimations / pre-tender estimates in short turnaround time.
• Review and understand tender documents, specifications and drawings for taking off quantities.
• Confer with engineers, architects, designers, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• Compilation of Bill of Quantity, tender documents / amendments and submission of tender bids.
• To compare and negotiate price with suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
• Evaluate Contract/Sub-contract works and carry out other Contracts Administration with clients and vendors.
• Maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
• To prepare and issue PO and verify supplier invoices for payment.
• Managing procurement process via JLL's cloud-based platform for all procurement.
• Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
• Prepare on-board and pre-qualify vendors to JLL standards; expand vendor pool in directory.
• Maintaining positive relations for suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
• Experience in Interior Fit-out works preferred.
• Thrive under pressure and deal effectively with tight deadlines and high expectations.

Cost Manager Project & Development Services

What this job involves:

You will be working side-by-side with the team to ensure the success of a project – from the tendering stage, to design phas,e to construction, and to completion. The projects are many and varied, including variations in project dollar value and complexity. You will be exposed to Fit-outs & Refurbishments for both Tenants and Landlords in Commercial, Retail, lndustrial, Hospitality and Education. Managing multiple projects concurrently Do you enjoy multi-tasking? Several projects are on-going at various stages hence you will have to coordinate with multiple vendors to ensure no downtime during works. You will be involved from preparing project specifications and project timeline, preparing tender or bid documents and vendor procurement as well as weekly project reports and updates to be submitted the stakeholders. To apply you need to be:

• A degree or diploma in a relevant field, and/or at least one to two years’ experience as a QS in a Interior Design firm, D&B or Contractor firm or in a similar position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technologically savvy
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Attention to detail
• You should have a great sense of urgency when it comes to solving problems, improving products or services, finding new markets, and implementing new strategies
