Job summary

The Woh Hup Group is seeking a capable Quantity Surveyor to support cost control and contractual issues on main contracts and sub-contracts for building projects in Singapore. The role reports to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and involves measurement, tendering, cost reporting and supplier coordination.

You will work closely with site teams to ensure documentation, track variation orders, and provide cost escalation alerts while gaining exposure to project design and procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in tendering, estimating and measurement of quantities in buildings projects worth at least S$25 million.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate measurement of quantities to assist in progress payment claims and payments to subcontractors and suppliers including final accounts.
• Prepare regular cost reports including maintenance budget cost controls.
• Maintain documentation of events at site for variation order / EOT claims.
• Coordinate with site storemen for materials documentation and control.
• Advise coordinators on contracted design requirements based on specifications and scope of works at various stages.
• Assist in the procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers of specified materials.
• Attend technical meetings to monitor design development issues and provide cost escalation alerts.
• Brief on contractual / legal rights of the Main Contractor to advise on choke points during the project.

Education

Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering

1 year experience in tendering, estimating and measurement in buildings projects (S$25 million)
