Job summary

ERP21 PTE LTD is seeking a dedicated Test Manager to lead testing for core banking projects including upgrades and regulatory changes. You will own the test strategy, plans, and schedules, and oversee functional, SIT, and UAT testing across modules such as deposits and loans.

You will manage a team of analysts, drive defect management and root-cause analysis, and ensure compliance with banking regulations. A relevant degree and testing certifications are valued.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in software testing within banking/financial services, with 2–4 years in a test lead/manager role.
• Experience testing core banking systems (Finacle, Temenos T24/Transact, Flexcube) is highly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of banking product lifecycle: deposits, loans, trade finance, cash management.
• Proficient in test management methodologies (SIT, UAT, regression, non-functional) and SDLC.
• Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA, HP ALM, Zephyr).
• Familiarity with SQL for data validation and batch/EOD processing in banking systems.
• Knowledge of MAS guidelines and regulatory requirements as they relate to testing.
• Experience with test automation is an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and people leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• ISTQB or PMP certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the test management function for core banking system projects and regulatory-driven changes.
• Develop and own the overall test strategy, plans, and schedules.
• Plan and manage the full testing lifecycle: functional, SIT, regression, and UAT support.
• Coordinate testing across modules: deposits, loans, account opening/maintenance, end-of-day batch processing.
• Manage a team of test analysts/engineers, assign workload and review test cases.
• Identify, log, track, and prioritize defects; drive root-cause analysis and retesting.
• Liaise with stakeholders, analysts, developers, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Prepare test status reports, quality metrics, risk assessments, and go/no-go decisions.
• Ensure adherence to QA standards, audits, and regulatory guidelines.
• Support test environment and data management; collaborate with infra and vendors.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation.
