Job summary

Five Oars Coffee Roasters PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a talented Cook / Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic kitchen team.

You will assist in the preparation of high-quality dishes and support senior chefs daily. Responsibilities include washing, chopping, and cooking ingredients, following recipes, keeping the kitchen clean, maintaining hygiene, managing inventory, and communicating in English in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent culinary qualification
• At least 1 year of experience working in a professional kitchen setting
• Strong knowledge and application of food safety and hygiene practices

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and cooking according to senior chefs’ instructions to ensure dish quality
• Follow recipes and cooking techniques accurately to support consistent food preparation
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
• Manage inventory by assisting with stock rotation and monitoring supplies to reduce waste
• Communicate effectively in English to coordinate with team members in a fast-paced, multicultural kitchen
