Five Oars Coffee Roasters in Singapore invites a proactive Cook / Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team. You will assist in preparing high-quality dishes, maintain cleanliness, and support senior chefs with daily operations.

The role requires a Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent, at least 1 year of professional kitchen experience, and strong food safety practices. English communication is essential in our multicultural environment, with benefits including staff meals and discounts.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent culinary qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a professional kitchen.
• Strong knowledge and application of food safety and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and cooking according to senior chefs’ instructions to ensure dish quality.
• Follow recipes and cooking techniques accurately to support consistent food preparation.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage inventory by assisting with stock rotation and monitoring supplies to reduce waste.
• Communicate effectively in English to coordinate with team members in a fast-paced, multicultural kitchen.
