DALLAS MBS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a kitchen operative to prepare and serve quality Western cuisine, following recipes and specifications while controlling costs and ensuring workplace safety and hygiene in a kitchen environment.

The role requires 1–2 years of relevant experience and a solid understanding of Western cooking techniques. A proactive and visionary approach to kitchen operations is valued, with a 44-hour work week and meal/transport allowances.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food following recipes and specifications.
• Control costs by minimizing spoilage and managing portion sizes.
• Inspect perishable items on receipt to ensure quality.
• Maintain workplace safety and hygiene by following protocols.
• Perform maintenance of kitchen equipment to ensure proper working condition.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food products by following cooking and presentation recipes and specifications accurately
• Control food cost by minimizing spoilage, wastage, and managing portion sizes effectively
• Inspect all perishable food items received to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain workplace safety and hygiene by following established protocols
• Perform regular upkeep and maintenance of kitchen equipment such as refrigerators, utensils, and ovens to ensure proper working condition

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar kitchen or food preparation role
• Good understanding of Western cuisine cooking techniques and ingredients
• Demonstrate a proactive and visionary approach to kitchen operations and food preparation

Benefits:

• 44 hours work week (5-6 working days per week)
