Job summary

Ryan’s Grocery (GWC) PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. This role supports the Executive Chef in food preparation, cooking and presenting menu dishes to ensure high-quality customer experiences.

You will maintain hygiene, uphold our standards, and work with the Front-of-House and Retail teams. Weekend and public holiday shifts are required; candidates with 1 year of relevant experience may be considered for Chef de Partie.

Qualifications

• Experience in cutting tools, cookware and bakeware.
• Knowledge of grilling, baking, boiling methods.
• Food hygiene and safety certification required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of hygiene
• Prepare menu in accordance with the restaurant's excellent standards of quality and delectable recipes
• Ensure all cooking equipment are clean and kept properly
• Assist in inventory control of kitchen supplies and equipment

They shall assist the Executive Chef to manage food preparation, cooking and presentation of all menu dishes and other products made within the kitchen.

• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow team members as part of a team
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays
• Candidates with minimum 1-year relevant experience may be considered for role of Chef de Partie
