Job summary

SC HR Solutions Pte. Ltd. is seeking kitchen support staff to assist in food preparation, storage and hygiene maintenance in a fast-paced environment. You will help with cold foods, meat cutting, washing vegetables, and cleaning poultry, fish, and seafood, ensuring proper handling and portioning.

You will also distribute food to staff and help with keeping records of food usage and reporting shortages or equipment problems to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting chefs with food prep and knife work.
• Familiarity with proper food storage and refrigeration.
• Knowledge of hygiene and safety guidelines in kitchen operations.
• Ability to monitor stock levels and inform supervisors when supplies are low.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs in cold foods prep, meat cutting, washing vegetables, and cleaning and preparing poultry, fish and seafood for service.
• Distribute prepared food to staff for serving to customers.

• Food Preparation: Assisting chefs in preparing cold foods, slicing meat, washing vegetables, butchering and cleaning poultry, fish, and seafood, and distributing food to staff for serving to customers.
• Food Storage: Storing food in designated containers and ensuring proper refrigeration and storage to prevent spoilage.
• Hygiene and Workplace Safety: Maintaining good food hygiene and kitchen safety practices, assisting in the cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen area, and ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety guidelines.
• Record Keeping: Keeping records of the quantities of food used and informing supervisors when supplies are low or equipment is not functioning properly.
  These responsibilities ensure that the kitchen operates efficiently and maintains high standards of food safety and quality.
