Job summary

KA Group | Knight Auto in Singapore seeks an experienced hardware engineer to design and simulate analog/digital circuits, develop firmware, and lead prototype builds. You will assemble custom enclosures, document BOMs, and ensure reliable execution from prototyping to production.

The role involves interfacing with customers and suppliers for project delivery, supporting sales with technical engagement, and contributing to quality improvements across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, System or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 3+ years of hardware & circuitry design, firmware, and assembly.
• Experience with C/C++ (Arduino/Raspberry Pi) ecosystems.

Responsibilities

Job description

Job Description (Duties & Responsibilities)

• Circuit Design & simulation on AC/DC circuit, control circuit & communication protocol
• Assemble, wire, and mechanically modify custom boxes.
• Documentation and reporting of project, BOM and procedures.
• Interface with customer and supplier to lead project & execution
• Support sales and marketing for technical engagement
• Support operations issues & quality improvement

Job Requirement (Qualifications & Experience)

Required Experience (Must Have)

• Core: 3+ years combining hardware & circuitry design, firmware, and physical assembly.
• Microcontroller programming: Experience in C/C++ (Arduino/Raspberry Pi ecosystems).
• Proficient with closed-loop systems & sensors (Eg. pressure, temp, gyro, proximity).
• Hands on with soldering irons, crimpers, DMMs, logic analyzer and oscilloscopes. Skilled at reading and generating electrical wiring drawings
• Result orientated. Multi-tasking. And a self-starter. Passionate about creating innovative hardware engineering solutions

Added Advantages

• Experience with design software CAD/Solidworks
• Experience with high-speed transmission & RF circuit,
• Experience with Wire heating elements, thermoelectric coolers (TECs), and SSRs is added advantage
• PLCs: Any Programming experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT or Siemens TIA Portal or equivalent
• MEMS: Knowledge of Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems design and control.
• Experience with optics, vision system is advantageous
• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing environment
