Job summary

Banen Associates PTE. LTD. is seeking a Contracts Manager in Singapore to lead commercial and contractual management for major LTA MRT Station and tunnelling projects.

The role includes contract administration, budgeting, cost control, and subcontract management. The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field, with strong experience in civil construction and familiarity with LTA MRT or rail projects.

Qualifications

• Must have degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Strong QS/Contracts experience in civil construction recommended.
• Experience with LTA MRT, rail, tunnelling or major civil infra projects advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and contractual management across major LTA MRT and civil infrastructure projects.
• Manage contract administration, budgets, cost control, forecasting and reporting.
• Administer main contracts and subcontracts, including variations, claims, EOT and final accounts.
• Manage procurement, tender evaluation, negotiations and award of subcontract packages.
• Monitor project commercial performance and identify contractual and financial risks.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and project teams on commercial matters.
• Lead and guide Quantity Surveyors and commercial team members.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are partnering with a leading A1 Main Contractor delivering major LTA MRT Station and Civil Infrastructure projects across Singapore. With multiple project awards secured, we are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead commercial and contractual management across large-scale MRT Station and tunnelling projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead commercial and contractual management across major LTA MRT and civil infrastructure projects.
• Manage contract administration, project budgets, cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting.
• Administer main contracts and subcontracts, including variations, claims, EOT and final accounts.
• Manage procurement, tender evaluation, negotiation and award of subcontract packages.
• Monitor project commercial performance and identify contractual and financial risks.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and project teams on contractual and commercial matters.
• Lead and provide guidance to Quantity Surveyors and commercial team members.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Strong Quantity Surveying / Contracts experience within the civil construction industry.
• Experience in LTA MRT, rail, tunnelling or major civil infrastructure projects will be highly advantageous.
• Main Contractor experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, variation claims, EOT, cost control and final accounts.
• Good knowledge of Singapore construction contracts and commercial practices.
• Strong commercial, negotiation, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
