Peoplesearch Pte. Ltd. is recruiting a Contracts Manager to oversee contractual and commercial aspects of a major MRT infrastructure project in west Singapore.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will protect commercial interests, manage risks, and drive successful project delivery. The role requires 10–15 years of relevant experience in infrastructure or civil projects, with strong knowledge of FIDIC and Singapore public sector contracts, and a track record in claims management and dispute

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• 10–15 years’ experience in contract/commercial management for infrastructure or civil projects.
• Proven MRT/rail project experience in Singapore preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC and Singapore public sector contracts.
• Proven track record in claims management and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage contractual matters, rights and obligations through project lifecycle.
• Prepare, evaluate and negotiate variation orders, claims and EOT submissions.
• Oversee project cost control, financial performance and cash flow management.
• Manage subcontract administration including procurement, claims and final accounts.
• Identify contractual risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Handle dispute resolution processes including negotiation and mediation.
• Liaise with client representatives, consultants and internal stakeholders on commercial matters.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting for all contractual and claim-related activities.

About the Company

Our client, a well-established A1 main contractor with strong capabilities in both building and infrastructure works, is seeking a capable Contracts Manager to oversee the contractual and commercial aspects of a major MRT project in west Singapore. This position plays a key role in ensuring effective cost management, contract compliance, and successful project delivery.

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Director and Senior Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing all contractual and commercial aspects of a major MRT infrastructure project valued close to SGD 600 million. You will play a key role in protecting the company’s commercial interests, managing risks, and driving successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and advise on contractual matters, rights, and obligations throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate variation orders, claims, and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions
• Oversee project cost control, financial performance, and cash flow management
• Manage subcontract administration, including procurement, claims, and final accounts
• Identify contractual risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Handle dispute resolution processes including negotiation and mediation
• Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and internal stakeholders on commercial matters
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting for all contractual and claim-related activities

Requirements
