Job summary

SIA Engineering Company invites a senior Consultant for Lead, Facilities to drive the development of new hangars and operations for client’s base maintenance facilities. You will plan with the client team, design layouts, and coordinate with authorities, insurers, vendors, and contractors to deliver compliant facilities.

Qualifications

• Min Diploma and at least 10+ years of experience in Construction & Engineering Project Management.
• Experience in MRO Hangar/Aerospace Park design and/or Construction Project Management is preferred.
• Must be willing to be based in Bengaluru, India for a period of 6 months or more.

Responsibilities

• Planning and coordinating with client project team, other stakeholders, insurance, contractors, vendors, consultants and relevant Authorities on facilities development and requirements.
• Together with the Client to develop hangar, workshops, warehouse, stores and office layout.
• Coordinating with users, consultants, and relevant authorities on building design, layout and construction work.
• Reviewing of consultants’ technical and performance specifications for tender exercises, evaluate and recommend tender awards and purchase of equipment and services for existing and new projects/ facilities.
• Assist Client to define and document the workscope of suitable staff to support their facilities development and maintenance.
• Assist Client on the recruitment and training of the suitable staff to support their facilities development and maintenance.
• Coordinating with users, contractors, vendors, consultants, insurance company and relevant authorities on fire safety related matters in Clients premises.
• Reviewing of Consultants’ technical and performance specifications for tender exercises, evaluation and recommendation of tender awards and purchase of specialised equipment, major engineering equipment and other services such as fire protection system in the hangars, workshops and warehouse or any other related areas in relation to the project.
• Review the hangar fire protection system maintenance documentation provided by Specialist contractors (i.e. hangar full flow test, pump test, property loss survey etc.)
• Witness all testing and commissioning of all major engineering equipment, specialised equipment and storage systems.
• Attend all project, major engineering, design and site meetings with consultants and contractors
• Provide assistance and advise on site technical issues to ensure site progress is not delayed
• Provide assistance in technical documentation including training, OPM, as-built drawings, maintenance schedule, etc before and during the handover process to Client

Key Responsibilities

• Consultant for Lead, Facilities will require to provide advice and work with the Client to work on the following objectives for the development of the new hangars and operations for Client’s base maintenance (“BM”) facility:
• Planning and coordinating with client project team, other stakeholders, insurance, contractors, vendors, consultants and relevant Authorities on facilities development and requirements.
• Together with the Client to develop hangar, workshops, warehouse, stores and office layout.
• Coordinating with users, consultants, and relevant authorities on building design, layout and construction work.
