Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Singapore seeks a Facilities Engineer to manage uptime, maintenance, and safety of our MRO facility. You will oversee workshop infrastructure and support a culture of safety while ensuring compliance with aviation facility standards.

In this role you will coordinate with external contractors, lead small-to-mid capital upgrades, monitor energy usage, and maintain auditable maintenance records to support audits and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of critical MRO infrastructure, including compressed air systems, overhead cranes, HVAC, industrial ventilation, and power distribution.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize workshop downtime and ensure operations readiness.
• Supervise external contractors during equipment installations, facility upgrades, and structural repairs.
• Monitor facility utilities and energy consumption to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
• Lead minor to mid-sized facility upgrading projects, process modifications, and equipment installation cycles from conception to handover.
• Develop comprehensive project timelines, track milestones, and manage cross-functional stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Draft technical specifications for project tenders, evaluate vendor proposals, and oversee onsite execution.
• Assist in planning, drafting, and managing the annual facilities OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
• Track routine maintenance costs, review vendor invoices, and manage variances to keep facility spending within approved limits.
• Identify cost-saving initiatives through contract renegotiations, energy efficiency programs, and optimized spare parts inventory.
• Support the facility's safety culture by enforcing baseline compliance with the Singapore Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA).
• Conduct routine safety walkdowns and inspections across workshops, hangars, and chemical storage areas.
• Review contractor Risk Assessments (RA) and issue daily Permits-To-Work (PTW) for routine maintenance activities.
• Assist in updating the site hazard register and documenting near-misses or minor workplace incidents.
• Coordinate with the core WSH team to ensure emergency equipment is regularly inspected.
• Maintain clean, auditable records of facility maintenance and safety checklists for audits.
• Ensure workshop layouts and chemical disposal protocols align with guidelines.

Job Summary

We are seeking an organized Facilities Engineer to manage the uptime, maintenance, and safety of our Aerospace MRO facility. In this role, you will maintain critical workshop infrastructure while supporting our safety culture by handling light Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) duties and ensuring compliance with aviation facility standards.

MRO Facilities & Utility Operations

• Oversee daily operations of critical MRO infrastructure, including compressed air systems, overhead cranes, HVAC, industrial ventilation, and power distribution.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize workshop downtime and ensure operations readiness.
• Supervise external contractors during equipment installations, facility upgrades, and structural repairs.
• Monitor facility utilities and energy consumption to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.

Project Management & Capital Upgrades

• Lead minor to mid-sized facility upgrading projects, process modifications, and equipment installation cycles from conception to handover.
• Develop comprehensive project timelines, track milestones, and manage cross-functional stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Draft technical specifications for project tenders, evaluate vendor proposals, and oversee onsite execution.

Budgeting & Financial Control

• Assist in planning, drafting, and managing the annual facilities Operational Expenditure (OPEX) and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) budgets.
• Track routine maintenance costs, review vendor invoices, and manage variances to keep facility spending within approved limits.
• Identify cost-saving initiatives through contract renegotiations, energy efficiency programs, and optimized spare parts inventory.

Light Safety & WSH Coordination

• Support the facility's safety culture by enforcing baseline compliance with the Singapore Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA).
• Conduct routine safety walkdowns and inspections across workshops, hangars, and chemical storage areas.
• Review contractor Risk Assessments (RA) and issue daily Permits-To-Work (PTW) for routine maintenance activities.
• Assist in updating the site hazard register and documenting near-misses or minor workplace incidents.
• Coordinate with the core WSH team to ensure emergency equipment (e.g., eyewash stations, fire extinguishers) is regularly inspected.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain clean, auditable records of facility maintenance and safety checklists for internal and external aviation authority audits.
• Ensure workshop layouts and chemical disposal protocols align with standard environmental and safety guidelines.
