Job summary

ALS LOGISTIC SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. seeks a capable Project Leader to design, engineer, install and commission ASRS, ACHS, conveyors, AGVs and related infrastructure in a live airport terminal. You will drive project delivery, safety and contract administration while coordinating with clients and authorities.

You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, manage schedules and budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver high availability operations through FAT, SAT and final handover.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation or related Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of project management experience in automation or logistics infrastructure.
• Experience in design-build or EPC projects; familiarity with PLC/SCADA integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead full project lifecycle from design to final acceptance and warranty support.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and resource plans; manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Interface with client, consultants, subcontractors and authorities; manage contracts and variations.
• Oversee FAT/SAT, integration testing, commissioning and handover; ensure safety compliance.

Job description

Job Overview

Lead the design, engineering, installation, testing, commissioning and handover of Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), Air Cargo Handling Systems (ACHS), conveyors, hoists, AGVs, warehouse control systems and associated infrastructure in a live airport cargo terminal environment. Responsible for overall project delivery, stakeholder management, commercial performance, safety compliance and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Manage full project lifecycle from detailed design through final acceptance and warranty support.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, controls, software and installation personnel.
• Ensure project completion within contractual milestones and performance requirements.
• Coordinate phased implementation activities in an operational cargo terminal environment.

Stakeholder & Contract Management

• Serve as primary interface with client, consultant, subcontractors and authorities.
• Manage design submissions, technical reviews, FAT, SAT, testing and commissioning approvals.
• Administer contracts, variations, claims, procurement and subcontractor performance.
• Prepare and present weekly and monthly progress reports and management updates.

Technical Oversight

Oversee design and implementation of:

• ASRS and ASRM systems
• IHP conveyors and right-angle transfers
• Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV/AMR)
• Cargo handling hoists and lifts
• PLC, SCADA and SCS platforms
• Integration with COSYS+ and InCoBu cargo management systems

Ensure compliance with Singapore regulations, aviation requirements and international standards.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with WSHA, MOM, BCA, SCDF, CAAS and airport safety requirements.
• Drive project risk assessments, permit-to-work processes and site safety management.
• Promote a zero-accident safety culture across all project activities.

Testing & Commissioning

• Lead FAT, SAT, system integration testing, throughput tests, reliability tests and final handover.
• Ensure achievement of operational availability, throughput and performance KPIs.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4 years project management experience in automation, ASRS, warehouse automation, material handling systems, airport cargo systems or logistics infrastructure.
• Experience managing design-build or EPC projects.
• Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, WCS/WMS integration and industrial automation systems.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience in airport, logistics, e-commerce, warehouse automation or intralogistics projects will be advantageous.
