Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking a Senior Fleet Planning Manager for a major Asia-centric global ocean carrier headquartered in Singapore. You will drive strategic planning for the global container asset portfolio to support liner shipping revenue.

The role covers strategic fleet planning, asset optimization, inventory management, lifecycle strategy, and budgeting. You will collaborate with regional teams and senior leadership to optimize CAPEX/OPEX and lifecycle costs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in container fleet management, equipment planning, or container leasing operations.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Fleet Planning: formulate and execute medium to long-term global container fleet strategies aligned with trade demand and business objectives.
• Portfolio & Asset Optimization: balance asset quality, cost efficiency, and operational agility by steering strategic decisions around newbuilding, leasing, sales, and equipment phase-outs.
• Global Inventory Management: track global fleet KPIs, target stock levels, and overall fleet size while guiding regional teams.
• Lifecycle & Ownership Strategy: evaluate lease-versus-buy scenarios and minimize lifecycle costs across the container portfolio.
• Financial Oversight & Budgeting: lead container-related CAPEX and OPEX budgeting, investment modelling, cash-flow forecasting, and fleet expenditure optimization.
