Job summary

Joyway Private Limited is seeking a seasoned Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day activities on construction, interior renovation, and fitting-out projects in Singapore. You will coordinate with project managers, designers, subcontractors, suppliers and site workers to ensure timely, quality execution aligned with drawings and specifications.

The role requires a minimum of 7 years in site supervision, familiarity with WSH regulations, and the ability to read construction and interior design

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant site supervision experience in construction and interior renovation/projects.
• Safety certification such as WSQ Supervise Construction Work for WSH is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, interior design drawings, shop drawings and technical details.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site activities for construction, interior renovation and fitting-out projects.
• Monitor site progress and ensure works are completed according to schedules, drawings, specs and design requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Designers, subcontractors, suppliers and site workers on site activities.

Job Scope

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site activities for construction, interior renovation and fitting-out projects to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor site progress and ensure all works are completed according to project schedules, approved drawings, specifications and design requirements.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Designers, subcontractors, suppliers and site workers on construction and fitting-out activities.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship, finishes and installations comply with approved drawings, specifications and required quality standards.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, interior design drawings, shop drawings and technical details to ensure accurate execution on site.
• Coordinate various trades including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, ceiling, flooring, painting, partition, glass and other construction or fitting-out works.
• Ensure proper sequencing of works and effective deployment of manpower, materials and equipment to minimise delays and rework.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions and coordinate with the relevant parties to resolve issues promptly.
• Carry out site measurements and verify dimensions before fabrication and installation where required.
• Ensure materials, finishes, fixtures and fittings delivered to site comply with approved specifications and project requirements.
• Monitor subcontractors' work and ensure defects, incomplete works or poor workmanship are rectified promptly.
• Ensure all site activities are carried out in accordance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, company safety policies and relevant regulations.
• Identify unsafe work practices and take appropriate corrective action to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in implementing quality control measures and ensure construction works meet the required standards.
• Maintain proper daily site records, including progress reports, manpower attendance, material deliveries, material usage and site issues.
• Report project progress, delays,technical issues and site constraints to the Project Manager.
• Attend site meetings, inspections and coordination meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other relevant parties when required.
• Assist with defect inspections, rectification works and project handover to ensure satisfactory completion of projects.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of relevant site supervision experience in the construction industry, preferably with experience in interior renovation, fitting-out or design-and-build projects.
• Possession of relevant safety certifications, such as WSQ Supervise Construction Work for WSH or equivalent, will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of construction processes, renovation works, fitting-out activities and site operations.
• Familiar with local building regulations and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, interior design drawings, shop drawings and technical details.
• Good understanding of construction materials, interior finishes and installation methods.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage site workers and subcontractors effectively.
• Good communication and coordination skills when dealing with Project Managers, Designers, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle site issues independently.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on workmanship, quality and project timelines.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple site activities concurrently.
• Willing to work a 6-day work week and attend to urgent site matters outside normal working hours when necessary.
