Hitech Construction (1982) Pte Ltd is seeking a Safety Officer to assist in implementing and maintaining workplace safety and health policies at construction sites. You will help ensure compliance with safety regulations and lead site inductions.

Responsibilities include conducting regular site inspections, toolbox talks, monitoring PPE use, and coordinating corrective actions with site teams and contractors. You will also assist in incident investigations and maintain safety documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining workplace safety and health policies and procedures at the construction site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, work practices and potential hazards.
• Ensure workers comply with safety requirements, site rules and relevant Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings and site inductions for workers and site personnel.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper safety measures are implemented on site.
• Assist in investigating workplace incidents, accidents and near-misses, and prepare the necessary reports.
• Maintain and update safety records, inspection checklists, risk assessments, permits and other relevant safety documentation.
• Coordinate with site personnel, contractors and relevant parties on safety matters and follow up on corrective actions.
• Assist in conducting risk assessments and implementing appropriate control measures for site activities.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
