Job summary

HITECH CONSTRUCTION (1982) PTE. LTD. is looking for a Safety Officer to help implement and maintain workplace safety and health policies on construction sites.

You will conduct regular site inspections, safety briefings, inductions, and monitor PPE usage to ensure compliance with WSH regulations. Responsibilities include investigating incidents, maintaining safety records, coordinating with site personnel and contractors, and conducting risk assessments to implement corrective controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining workplace safety and health policies and procedures at the construction site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, work practices and potential hazards.
• Ensure workers comply with safety requirements, site rules and relevant Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings and site inductions for workers and site personnel.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper safety measures are implemented on site.
• Assist in investigating workplace incidents, accidents and near-misses, and prepare the necessary reports.
• Maintain and update safety records, inspection checklists, risk assessments, permits and other relevant safety documentation.
• Coordinate with site personnel, contractors and relevant parties on safety matters and follow up on corrective actions.
• Assist in conducting risk assessments and implementing appropriate control measures for site activities.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
